App: Gate Out: Color Arrow Escape (Android package com.pocketpuddle.arrowescape)
This policy explains what information the app uses and why. We keep it short because we collect very little ourselves.
1. Who the app is for
Gate Out is a general-audience game for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, contact us and we will help.
2. What we collect ourselves
Nothing that identifies you. There is no account, login, or sign-up. We do not run our own servers for the game and do not receive your name, email address, contacts, photos, microphone, or precise location.
The following stay only on your device:
- Game progress (current level, stars) and your settings (sound, vibration, whether ads were removed).
Uninstalling the app removes this local data.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows ads from Google AdMob (Google LLC). To serve and measure ads, Google and its ad partners may collect and use:
- Device and advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID),
- IP address and approximate location derived from it,
- App interactions, ad interactions and performance, device information (model, OS version, language), and diagnostics/crash data.
We use ads in two forms: rewarded video ads (optional - you choose to watch one to get an extra hint, undo, or second chance) and interstitial ads between some levels. The app is configured as a general-audience (13+) app: we do not treat it as child-directed, and we set the maximum ad content rating to Teen.
You can control advertising:
- Consent choices: where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), the app shows a Google consent form on first launch. You can change your choice later in Settings -> Ad privacy choices (shown when applicable).
- Android settings: you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalization in Settings -> Privacy -> Ads on your device.
- Learn more: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads and https://policies.google.com/privacy
Paying for Remove Ads turns off interstitial and banner ads. Optional rewarded ads remain available if you choose them.
4. Purchases (Google Play Billing)
If you buy Remove Ads, the purchase is processed by Google Play. We do not see or store your payment details. We receive only a purchase confirmation from Google Play so we can unlock the feature, and we check it again when you reinstall or use "Restore purchase". Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Play privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
5. Permissions the app requests
- Internet / network state - to load ads and verify purchases.
- Advertising ID (AD_ID) - used by Google AdMob as described above. You can reset it or opt out in Android settings.
- Vibrate - for haptic feedback (can be turned off in Settings).
- Billing - for the Remove Ads purchase.
6. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. Data collected by Google AdMob and Google Play is handled by Google under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not share any other data with third parties because we do not collect any.
7. Retention and deletion
We hold no personal data on our systems, so there is nothing for us to delete. Local data is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its storage. Data held by Google (for example ad or purchase records) is governed by Google; you can manage it at https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not hold personal data about you, requests about advertising data should be directed to Google through the links above. You can also email us and we will point you in the right direction.
9. Security
Local game data is stored on your device. Network requests made by the ad and billing libraries use encrypted connections provided by Google.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above and publish the new version at https://pocketpuddle.com/privacy. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's Google Play listing.
